The Office of Information Management (OIM) is responsible for information management and related information and communication technology (IT) to enable the Department to achieve its strategic, tactical and operational goals through the right IT governance and correct information and technology controls.

We are currently seeking an Information Services Officer to join our team

The Information Services Officer:

  • undertakes a range of information services activities, advice and training to support the department's decision-making, business processes and digital services and ensure compliance with information management obligations;
  • provides support to internal clients to ensure digital and non-digital records are managed in line with the internal policy and procedures, and external requirements; and
  • processes information assets throughout their lifecycle to meet department and legislative requirements.

Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following four (4) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total.

  • Experience working in a complex, varied and geographically distributed information and related technology (IT) public sector environment or similar, demonstrating ability to provide support across all aspects of information management services to enable the business to effectively capture, manage, use and dispose of corporate records.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering quality service to end users, including the ability to respond to changes in clients' needs and expectations.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of information management processes and practices, including demonstrated understanding of legislative requirements and relevant standards for information management.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills; including experience in delivering information management training programs and providing specialist advice and support on digital and non-digital information management lifecycles.
