One of Australia’s prominent **Federal Government Departments **is looking to engage an experienced **Project Support Officer **to facilitate all aspects of portfolio/ programme/ project meetings, workshops and documentation. The **Project Support Officer** will play an active role in managing packages of work, schedule dependencies, project documentation, procurement, and providing administrative support. The successful **Project Support Officer **will be offered an initial **12 month** contract along with a **12 month extension** option partnered with a **rewarding hourly rate**.

The successful **Project Support Officer **will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Provisioning of support and guidance on portfolio, programme and project management processes, procedures, tools and techniques
- Advising on the development, production and maintenance of business cases
- Providing detailed guidance on project management software, procedures, processes, tools and techniques
- Giving basic guidance on individual project proposals

The successful **Project Support Officer **will have experience in the following:

- Sound knowledge of Government Procurement and Finance practices and frameworks for provisioning goods and services.
- Ability to work collaboratively and constructively as part of an Agile delivery team to ensure the timely delivery of a quality ICT capability
- Ability to assist with development and maintenance of key project artefacts, including the project schedule
- Assist the team with the implementation and maintenance of appropriate information management and record keeping practices
