You will be a passionate and results focused individual who is seeking to build on your career in compliance, ready to lead a small team. You will be highly active, visible and accessible to your team, taking on a high-profile position within the Villawood Immigration Detention Centre. You will be experienced at a senior level within the areas of compliance, governance and risk management.

You will demonstrate a high level of discretion in performance management, recommendation for improvements in compliance, policies and procedures as well as the management of internal and external audit programs. Your working knowledge and experience with Government or commercial contracts will come highly regarded in this position.

**About the role**

You will be responsible for the regular reporting of compliance issues to the General Manager and managing the monthly KPIs of the reporting process. Additionally, you will manage document control systems, the implementation and maintenance of the national Quality Management System; providing guidance on a range of other management systems such as Health and Safety, Environment or Food Safety.

You will ensure compliance with the Contract, customer requirements, Serco policies and procedures, Australian and International standards and legislation in all areas of the centre’s operations. You will play a strong leadership role in the implementation and achievement of the Immigration Detention Values.
- To be successful in this role you will have:_
- Training and/ or industry experience in internal auditing, performance management, business management and/ or management systems (e.g. quality, environment, safety)
- Familiarity with Management System Standards, including ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
- Experience within a complex organisation - including auditing and reporting
- A degree in Business, Performance Management or Engineering with a management focus; or equivalent industry experience (desirable)
- Demonstrated high level of communication skills (both written and oral)
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
- This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes a national police check as an essential selection component for this role._
