**The team you'll be part of**

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

You will be part of a new project team, which will deliver a Private LTE network for one of the major rail companies in Australia.

**What you will learn and contribute to**

Are you passionate about health and safety and making sure that everybody gets home safely every day?

We are looking for a professional, who will look after the health and safety aspects of the project.

As part of our team, you will:

- Ensure all site activities are being carried out in accordance with the Nokia and Client Safety Management Systems.
- Oversee, support and manage any safety investigations (ICAMS) and/or Safeworking breaches.
- Direct communication with the Customer Safety Representative and all other relevant parties on all WHS matters.
- Attend customer meetings, toolboxes and site prestarts.
- Facilitate safety stand downs with all stakeholders and more.
- Assist in the identification and development of safe systems of work for high risk activities.
- Provide guidance in hazard control and Safeworking requirements.
- Offer support and advice in mitigating risks and hazards.
- Key customer contact for on-site HSE related inspections, identified risks or issues.
- Complete all Verification of Competencies (VOC) for site personnel.
- On call to support site works both in and out of hours works.
- Site acceptance of all plant and equipment to be utilised on site.
- Permit issue for all high risk works.
- Ensuring adherence to the Environmental Policies of all relevant stakeholders.

**Your skills and experience**

You have:

- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Computer skills
- WHS qualifications (Diploma, Degree or Masters in OSH)
- Experience working in the Rail environment
- Valid Australian Drivers Licence and Australian Permanent Residency or citizenship

- It would be nice if you also had:

- Previous experience in a mobile network rollout (2G/3G/4G)
- Cert IV trainer/assessor qualification
- Previous experience in a similar role working in a Rail safety environment
