Our client is a dynamic and growing production company looking for an experienced Health Safety Environment (HSE) Manager to join their team in Melbournes West.

As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of employees, contractors and the environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in accordance with relevant legislation and industry best practices
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards and risks
- Manage incident investigations and develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent re-occurrence
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and industry associations to stay up-to-date with the latest regulations and industry trends
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures to ensure the safe evacuation of employees and customers in the event of an emergency
- Manage HSE-related documentation and records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

**Qualifications**:

- Min Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HSE Manager in a production environment, preferably chemical, minerals and mining processing
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal HSE regulations and standards
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Professional certification in HSE is a plus
