**The Role**

Based in our new Perth Fabrication Facility and reporting to the General Manager, the Manager Health & Safety is responsible for providing, establishing, overseeing and maintaining effective processes and systems and for providing support and guidance to operational management teams in line with relevant legislation as well as ensuring our strategy achieves set targets and objectives in creating a zero-harm safety culture.

**Duties**
- Ensure compliance with relevant WHS legislation.
- Training, review and management of the HSEMS
- Develop, present and execute an audit plan for assessing WHS risks in line with the company WHS Strategy
- Performing regular WHS audits
- Creation and Review of internal WHS documentation
- Assist in the preparation of WHS information for tenders/contract renewal
- Provide WHS information and reports for projects and client needs where applicable
- Conducting internal and participating in external WHS audits, inspections and investigations
- Facilitate and Support Operational Managers in the investigation of all WHS accident, incidents, hazards, and non-compliance to ensure corrective actions are assigned, implemented and monitored for effectiveness
- Identify and advise on WHS issues and improvement strategies
- Drive a culture of safety and continual improvement

**Skills and Experience**
- Formal qualifications in Health & Safety
- Experience working with a contracting company within the Mining Industry
- At least 5 years' experience in the Health and Safety field
- At least 5 years' experience in a leadership role
- Knowledge of relevant legislation covering Workplace Health & Safety (WHS)
- Knowledge of risk management practices
