Role Detail
Joining the People & Development team in this additional role to the firm, you will be joining a collaborative team that values expertise, innovation, and a shared purpose.
We're looking for a passionate and experienced professional to lead and shape a positive, psychologically safe, and respectful workplace culture across our organisation.
With flexibility to be based out of any national KWM office, you will:
- Design and deliver a people-first experience that promotes wellbeing, safety, and care across the business.
- Lead the rollout and embedding of our Psychological Safety Framework in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Identify and manage psychosocial risks by conducting risk assessments and implementing targeted strategies.
- Use data and insights to guide continuous improvement of key internal programs and our wellbeing initiatives.
- Provide expert advice to support our strategic risk reviews, KPIs, and cultural initiatives.
- Keep our workplace aligned with industry best practice by analysing major reports and reviews
- Equip leaders with the tools and skills to create safe, inclusive, and supportive team environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance or redesign initiatives that improve wellbeing and psychological safety.
- Support the ongoing development of a respectful, values-driven workplace by enhancing our policies, processes, and leadership capabilities.
- Ensure our people policies remain current, relevant, and reflective of best practice where you are the policy owner.
About You
Utilising your consultative and collaborative approach, this broad role will offer supported autonomy to lead and guide the firm in this space. With a focus on the people side, this role steps outside of case management and Employee Relations to be seen as a groundbreaking specialist bringing expertise to drive excellence in workplace culture.
You will also bring:
- Proven experience designing and implementing psychological safety, wellbeing, or mental health programs at an enterprise level.
- Strong understanding of psychosocial risk management and frameworks
- Previous experience in a top-tier law firm, global consultancy, financial services, or other high-pressure setting.
- Deep appreciation of the cultural and operational challenges of professional services (e.g. billable hour models, intense client demands, long hours).
- Demonstrated success working with senior leaders, executives, and cross-functional teams to influence behavioural and cultural change.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to tailor messages for varied audiences, including legal professionals.
- Experience conducting psychosocial risk assessments and contributing to strategic risk reviews.
- Ability to develop and maintain workplace policies, procedures, and codes of conduct aligned with employment law and compliance frameworks.
- Track record of driving enterprise-wide change initiatives, including program design, implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Data-informed decision-making skills, with experience using metrics, KPIs, and reporting to support cultural change and accountability.
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, or other relevant disciplines in Social Sciences or Humanities.
- Familiarity with regulatory and legal obligations around psychological safety
