A law firm that competes with the larger, more high profile commercial law firms, they prefer to let their work and enviable client base do the talking rather than market aggressively. They are best described as quietly confident.

**Litigation**

The Litigation team is led by seven partners who all have leading reputations in the industry.

They provide a full complement of litigation and dispute resolution services across areas including administrative, construction, contractual, defamation, employment, estate, insolvency and debt recovery, insurance, intellectual property and property.

In addition to working in the full range of tribunal and court jurisdictions, they are also active in commissions and inquiries.

**Position Description**

This is a growth role and will see you working closely with an experienced partner and two special counsel representing a wide variety of national and international insurers and corporates.

The role will initially focus on property damage matters, however, over time you may be involved in broader insurance matters.

You will work on a diverse range of both first party and third-party property damage claims, ranging from routine short tail matters up to high value and complex claims across a vast array of property types including multi-million dollar property damage claims due to flooding, major fire damage claims and property damage arising out of bush fires.

In addition, you will also defend and manage matters involving property damage due to defective design, manufacture and maintenance, building and construction disputes, complex multi-party insurance disputes, and contractual indemnities and other rights, interests and liabilities under contracts.

This role will allow for significant client contact and on the less complex matters a great deal of autonomy.

**Requirements**:
You will be an enthusiastic and competent insurance lawyer with
**18 months to 5 years' **solid property damage experience.
