About the Role

This fantastic role is for an experienced and highly motivated Solicitor/Associate looking to join our high performing Insurance (CTP) team in our Sydney or Canberra office.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of CTP matters and services including; CTP defendant insurance, personal injury claims to more complex and catastrophic claims. Our specialised expertise lies in effectively managing high-volume and intricate disputes, offering tailored claims management solutions to CTP insurers.

This varied role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to be heavily involved in all aspects of the above matters, allowing you to make a significant contribution to their outcome. You will work as part of a close knit team which boasts a collegiate, supportive and collaborative culture, making it the perfect environment for you to enhance your legal career while gaining exposure to high value and complex matters, working directly with one of our high performing Principals.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

- Prior exposure to and a strong interest in insurance law and CTP work
- It would be advantageous to have a background in CTP defendant matters. We are seeking a candidate that is genuinely attracted to the area of insurance law and who highly values a supportive and friendly culture.
- Excellent researching and drafting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Firmly established time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to work independently

Skills & Abilities

- Demonstrates an understanding of the legal issues relevant to the practice of insurance law and a demonstrated ability to understand and respond to the commercial objectives of clients.
- This role requires an eye for technical detail but also the ability to provide legal advice in a commercial context. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate clearly with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels of seniority.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to deal confidently with clients directly and foster client relationships.
- Time management skills and proven ability to prioritise multiple active matters at any one time.
- Capacity to problem solve and think laterally
