Job Summary
Reporting into the Sales Director, you will be responsible for planning, leading and controlling the selling operations of the Tax and Accounting sales team to meet and exceed the sales targets, and retention of existing customers.
As a Sales Leader, you will lead a Sales Team of 4-5 sales representatives overseeing the Tax and Accounting sales operations and outcomes across Australia.
**Responsibilities**:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the Tax and Accounting sales team, running daily reports (e.g statistics on the number of calls required to close a sale), creating calling lists for temp employees
- Sell titles across different segments & find upsell opportunities
- Team coaching on generating sales leads, cold calling, assessing customer needs and closing the sale
- Working through a list of contacts to promote the organization’s products and services with the aim of generating new sales
- Arranging, processing and dispatching goods/services, to existing and prospective clients
- Collecting market intelligence from customer contacts during sales calls, and producing reports on market intelligence for SLG
- Author/vendor/third party relationship management
- Budget & target setting
- Building and maintain meaningful relationships with new and existing clients at multiple levels
- Build relationships with internal WK stakeholders such as departmental managers, new product development
- Maintain effective relationships with internal WK service providers to ensure high quality customer service and support for clients
Key Measures
- Achieve or exceed set monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets through focus on sufficient size (& upselling ability) and complexity to consistently deliver sales targets.
- Develop a tactical plan to grow portfolio value and report progress against the plan on a quarterly basis or as required by the Leadership team
- Deliver a content strategy that aligns to business & sales needs.
About You
- 3+ years experience leading sales teams
- 5+ years of sales experience in a technology environment selling complex solutions and/or SaaS offerings to businesses.
- Experience in building and inspiring high performing sales teams and demonstrated evidence of developing and implementing execution strategies to effectively lead, coach and balance both short & long term goals
- Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving experience within depth understanding of sales levers, metrics, performance standards and sales methodology
- A demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative culture that places a premium on consistently performing at the highest level in a high growth environment
- Excellent presentation, oral & written communication & Interpersonal skills able to articulate strategies, plans with their team, peers, and external partners
- Customer Focused
- Accounting/Tax knowledge is desirable
