For more than 160 years, we have been working together with South Australians to ensure a reliable supply of safe, clean water services across the state, both regionally and locally. **About the role**: The Manager Operations Control will lead the Operations Control Centre (OCC), SCADA Application Support, Production and Treatment (P&T) Works Planning and Outage Management functions to provide cost efficient and effective system management of SA Water’s bulk water transfer and major pumping operations. This is to ensure we balance water quantity and quality needs, electricity optimisation and water security, providing efficient works planning and resource management service across P&T and quality operations. **Key Responsibilities**: - Build and lead an effective team while maintaining strong working relationships with staff, focussed on achieving business goals and enabling staff to work safely to their full potential. - Develop Operations Control Group business plan to achieve strategic objectives, priorities, KPI’s and align to individual performance objectives of team members. - Ensure the delivery of OCC planning, operations and monitoring functions, and P&T works scheduling function - Ensure appropriate oversight of works scheduling and planning activities for treatment operations and trade waste activities to ensure efficient and effective field resource utilisation. - Monitor operational trends to identify abnormal operating situations or identify opportunities for more efficient operations. - Establish and maintain respected and valued interfaces with key business partners including Field Operations, Maintenance, Trility, P&T Alliance, SCADA Integrators, Capital Delivery, SP&I, and Technology Teams to ensure effective knowledge and resource sharing, supporting delivery of quality services to customers. - Drive performance optimisation standardisation and innovation, working together with the Operations Performance Team, develop the future vision for the OCC and work with key stakeholders to drive change within the team and across the business to support this future vision. - Manage Operational Technology that supports the OCC, and broader Corporate Technology initiatives. **About the Person**: As leader of a high performing and technical team, our Manager Operations Control will require logical and agile thinking, solid negotiation skills, adaptability, and a collaborative approach while taking accountability and holding governance over challenging situations, using effective decision-making skills accordingly.
