We are looking for a highly experienced
**Operations Controller **in Adelaide SA, who is a professional person with a great attitude. You will be flexible in your approach and safety will be at the top of your priority list.

The role is accountable for coordinating all Flight and Cabin Crew activities to maximise the schedule integrity of flying operations, maintaining and managing disruptions in accordance with CASA regulations, Aircraft industrial agreements and other relevant manuals and documentation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all aircraft patterns and duties comply with CASA regulations, PEA, EBA industrial awards to ensure effective day of operations delivery
- Adhere to document control mechanisms for CASA regulations, industrial awards, work practices and training manuals
- Maintain operational responsibility when on shift in managing the day of operation
- Ensure all affected crew receive prompt and accurate notification during disruptions
- Identify problems and risks, liaise with relevant departments, make operational decisions and implement a compliant and effective solution
- Ensure the execution of changes are optimised to minimise cost and operational disruption
- Allocate airport standbys ensuring that sufficient reserve resources are allocated to support the day of operations
- Act as the first point of contact for the ROC in coordinating disruptions relating to Aircraft activities, by providing information and recommendations
- Monitor and delivery effective levels of service to all customer groups
- Continuously identify and recommend areas for improvement and cost savings

Essential Skills:

- Some Operational Experience in Aviation (Desirable)
- Tertiary Qualifications in Aviation Management (Desirable)
- Highly motivated and goal driven
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively under pressure
- Understanding of the operational need to demonstrate flexibility
- Lateral thinker
- Awareness of operational conditions and availability / whereabouts of all resources
- Ability to manage and resolve multiple problems
- Strong Customer Focus

Critical Success Factors:

- Maintaining maximum crew efficiency and managing total costs to operation
- Minimising operational disruptions in accordance with the relevant legislation, regulations and agreements
- Maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

The position will be shift-work (24/7) and shifts are between 10 to 12 hrs, on a 4 days on, 4 days off rotating shift roster on a fixed term contract.
