Public Sector People are partnering with a government organisation that is preparing to establish three new community service committees that will hold an integral role in improving council community development services.

This is a great opportunity to join a team that are passionate and focused on community development, develop and improving social services.

Position: Policy & Administration Officer

Contract: Initial 4 months w/ potential to extend

3 days, 21 hours weekly

Location: Northern Sydney Region

Hourly Pay Rate: Up to $43 p/h + Super

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with resourcing and supporting the establishment of three community service committees.
- Prepare and develop meeting agendas, discussion topics, and assisting with organising community events.
- Research social policies, drafting correspondence and reports.

Essential:

- Strong administration experience, preferable within local government.
- Experience within social science, social policy, community services, or, community development is highly regarded.
- Experience in policy research and interpretation is ideal.
