**Hosting & Cloud Platforms Team Leader - Icon Group**

Lead a growing team with expertise across datacentres, virtualisation, cloud services, disaster recovery and various hosting platform services such as database administration. This new role ensures the secure design and operation of Icon Group’s IT infrastructure, maintaining best practices for cybersecurity across all hosting and cloud platforms as we support our vast clinical, pharmaceutical, research and corporate operations.

Some key accountabilities within the role include:

- Maintain systems to a high standard to ensure reliability, performance and security.
- Collaborate with the team to meet incident and service request SLAs collectively.
- Respond promptly to incidents and complete service requests within agreed SLAs.
- Take charge of critical incidents as needed, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
- Implement and maintain cyber security protocols, ensuring that all systems are protected from potential threats.
- Ensure system availability, minimising downtime, and disruptions.
- Develop and maintain design and operational support documentation for systems.
- Participate in on-the-job training and development programs, assisting other team members to improve shared knowledge.
- Provide effective leadership to the team, while working autonomously and driving completion of team tasks and projects.

Position Requirements / Key Selection Criteria (SFIA)
- At least 5 years’ experience in a senior IT Infrastructure role.

With ability to:

- Provide technical leadership to optimise the performance of IT infrastructure (ITOP-5).
- Undertake and supervises complex installations and de-installations of systems (HSIN-4).
- Design large systems ensuring meeting functional and non-functional requirements (DESN-4).
- Initiate and monitor actions to investigate and resolve problems, determining fixes and remedies (PBMG-4).
- Identifies risks that arise from potential technical solutions and designs alternate solutions or mitigations (SCTY-4).
- Manages incidents and problems to ensure minimised impact and prevent recurrence. Drives development of processes and tools for incident response (USUP-4).
- Assess, develop, document, and implement changes (CHMG-4).
- Monitor service capacity, initiate actions to resolve shortfalls and contribute to planning (CPMG-4).
- Provide advice and guidance on planning, design, and improvement of service availability. Investigating breaches of availability and initiate remedial activities, as well as develop and manage disaster recovery plans. (AVMT-5).
- Monitor team service delivery metrics against service level agreements. Identify and initiate actions to maintain or improve levels of service (SLMO-4).
- Experience with technologies including but not limited to: Veeam backup & replication, Microsoft Azure and 365 cloud services, VMWare vSphere, Windows Server OS, Windows technologies (Group Policy, Active Directory etc), Hyperconverged Platforms (Cisco HyperFlex, Nutanix AOS).
