**The role**

This role provides an opportunity to be exposed to a wide range of activities and technologies in a thriving and highly technical environment. You will be working to test and analyse solutions that will make a real difference to our engineering teams and to the products and services we deliver to our clients and customers. There will be opportunities to learn and refine.

This role requires exposure to and an appreciation of good testing, test tools and development practices. The team is looking to expand its QA coverage and processes, so this role is both about helping to test our existing portfolio but also help drive an expansion of our QA processes.

- You have experience in testing software, developing tests, providing input to test frameworks and helping teams achieve quality software
- You enjoy learning new things, sharing your knowledge and collaborating with colleagues
- You are comfortable working in a distributed, multinational, multicultural team on global projects

**The responsibilities of this role include**:

- Working within an agile team as an advocate for software quality
- Working within an agile team to rigorously test our products
- Assisting our QA lead with test strategy and planning
- Assisting development team with developing QA processes and tests
- Assisting to developing acceptance criteria for user stories
- Carrying out exploratory tests and reviewing outcomes with the team
- Documenting support notes and developer guides

**Requirements and skills**

**Essential skills and knowledge**:

- Experience with test frameworks, test patterns and automated testing
- Experience with or an appreciation of cloud hosting, build and deployment in the cloud (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google), PaaS and SaaS
- Experience with DevOps principles and techniques, source code control, CI/CD tools and automation
- Capable of solving complex technical and software development problems and conveying this information to others
