About the Role
As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will support the first line of defence (1LoD) risk and compliance oversight in relation to key risk practices within the Business Banking portfolio - supporting the business leaders in managing their risks and obligations, developing their people and keeping their promises to customers. The role will also assist in the establishment and maintenance of monitoring and supervision services program across Business Banking by using extensive knowledge of the industry operational and financial environment, together with expertise in risk management.
A core component of this role includes maintaining and enhancing Suncorp’s customer identification practices (Applicable Customer Identification Procedures (ACIP) and Know Your Customer (KYC) at onboarding for non-individual within Business Banking - which underpins Suncorp’s obligation to Protecting Our Customers.

What will your day look like?
**As a Quality Assurance Analyst, your accountabilities include**:
Responsible for quality assurance relation in relation to customer onboarding.
Support the KYC Capability Lead and Manager Centre of Excellence with 1LOD risk requirements to deliver robust and consistent quality management frameworks for customer onboarding.
Support the uplift of KYC knowledge within frontline teams, including training to business on KYC compliance and obligations - includes engaging with relevant business areas to drive implementation.
Understand business risk and compliance requirements (policies, regulation, advice models and quality assurance) and support business teams with adhering to requirements through the provision of findings and advice.
**Use and embed risk and compliance frameworks and programs to**:
execute quality assurance/oversight of key Business Banking activities, in particular customer identification (Applicable Customer Identification Procedures/Know Your Customer) requirements
continuous improvement of quality assurance/oversight programs and supporting documents
support the maintenance of risk profiles
support control remediation following insights from assurance/oversight activities
contribute to a positive risk and compliance culture to enhance Business Banking’s risk maturity.
Early identification and escalation of incidents and/or breaches, including recording of risks/incidents/actions in IRIIS and managing record keeping of risk exposure.
Keeps things simple while driving innovation, removing blockages and anticipating and adapting to risk and business challenges.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
University degree in a related field (e.g. Risk, Business, Management, Finance) - Desired
Sound knowledge of KYC requirements for non-personal complex entities
Strong experience in risk/compliance or related field in the Financial Services industry
Knowledge of finance (e.g. front line banking, contact centres and/or insurance).
Knowledge of compliance/reputational risk principles, practices, theories and concepts.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, including AML/CTF.
Knowledge of risk and compliance management practices, risk appetite and governance concepts.
Knowledge of financial institution operations
