**Accommodation Manager-Outback Queensland**

We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Manager for this busy property located in Outback Queensland.

The town offers local shopping, art galleries, museums, dining and medical facilities and a friendly welcoming community.

The town rich in history and culture; days off can be spent relaxing and dining out, taking in the local sights or exploring the surrounding area by tour or 4WD.

The role is on a rotational 7 day roster working days, nights and weekends.

**Pay Details: (HIGA Level 5 Award FULLTIME)**
- $27.83 per hour Monday-Friday
- $30.45 per hour after 7PM M-F
- $34.79 per hour-Saturday
- $41.75 per hour Sunday
- OR can look at a salary of $70,000 per annum
- Accommodation $100-$200 per week depending on type
- FREE Accommodation will be supplied for the first 90 days onsite

This is a rotational 7 day roster working days, nights and weekends.

**Administration**
- Responding to incoming telephone calls, ensuring calls are answered in a prompt and clear manner, screened where necessary and messages are relayed to the nominated person within agreed timelines.
- Implementing and maintaining a filing system ensuring documents are distributed and filed within designated timelines.
- Coordinating the timely delivery of weekly staff timesheets and associated payroll documentation in agreed formats and within designated timelines.
- Reviewing requirements and ordering stationery and other office supplies as required.
- Assisting with coordination of employee records and documentation, in conjunction with Hotel Manager and HR Manager.

**Guest Services**
- Managing the daily activities of the Housekeeping department, including appropriate cleaning of all bedrooms and all public areas
- Planning, organising and directing team members to ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction.
- Training of all new housekeeping staff members to the required standard.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, health & safety, and conduct. Ensure that sufficient staffing is present to meet the daily business demands.
- Assisting the Housekeeping staff whenever necessary in performing all duties as well as accommodating all guest requests in an efficient manner.

**Financial**
- Ensuring the accurate and timely recording and reconciliation of daily takings and provision of reconciliations to Finance.
- Performing Hotel banking ensuring appropriate security measures are taken to safeguard monies and financial documentation.
- Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of accurate Hotel financial reports where required.
- Responsible for tracking all debtors and following up debtor payments.

**Other**
- Assisting with coverage of duties in other departments of the hotel as and when required i.e. Retail and Gaming area lunch breaks, Housekeeping etc.
- Observing and complying with relevant Legislation, Regulations and Hotel Policies and Procedures.
- Performing other related duties as requested by management.
- Previous front office experience ideally at management level
- Knowledge of external booking channels
- Strong computer and reception experience
- Experience with setting room rates
