**The Company**

This leading food manufacturing business has got ambitious growth targets to further grow their market share in the food manufacturing sector. With a strong culture around R&D and innovation this organisation continues to lead their sector of the market with new & exciting products that have seen them continue to grow their market share. This factory is a key growth site for further expansion and will suit someone that can operate in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

**The Role**

As the Operations Manager your role is to coach, develop and lead staff, and to drive the commercial success of the plant. Your responsibilities will focus on:

- Support and lead an operations-based team across production, materials management, quality, safety, to achieve/exceed KPI’s and deliver on productivity targets and operational improvement.
- Educate, coach, and facilitate operational expectations, lead change initiatives through the team leaders and supervisors, deliver on all operational KPIs.
- Develop and maintain operations systems, ensuring staff structures and labour plans are optimised and meet the needs of the business.
- Develop and implement improvement plans for the operation, encompassing all functions on the business when necessary.
- Lead and coach the team in operational improvements across Health and Safety, Quality, Maintenance and Production functions.
- Manage and report on metrics as well as instilling understanding of metrics across the group to develop a performance-based culture.
- Lead and coach on continuous improvement initiatives in conjunction with the leadership group, to reduce cost and waste, improve productivity and quality.
- Investigate and develop solutions with the site leadership group for operational issues across the site.

**The Person**

To be successful in this role you will have extensive leadership experience gained from a complex food manufacturing environment. You must be able to drive change and achieve excellent results through effective leadership, with a focus on cultural improvement and increasing employee engagement. Strong commercial awareness and an ability to communicate at all levels are critical to the success of the position.
