The Role
We have a genuinely rewarding opportunity providing comfort and help for our residents when they need it most, for a Village Support Officer to join our Goodwin Close Village, in Blackburn South.
Our residents are independent retirees who have sought the company and safety of living in a community of like-minded individuals with service provided that give them and their families the reassurance that they will be cared for if the need arises.
Shifts will be a mixture of daytime shifts and overnight shifts.
Reporting the Village Manager, your duties will include:
- Assisting with our colourful village events- Assisting to serve meals & beverages- Responding to resident enquiries- Responding to call outs- Undertaking first aid- Initiating emergency services where required- Basic admin tasks- Conducting welfare checks on residents- Other tasks around the village as directed
About You- Available on a casual basis (approx. 2 shifts per week)- Background in customer service, hospitality or aged care would be advantageous- Professional, reliable and positive approach to work- A current Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain)- The ability to make critical decisions and remain calm under pressure- Be motivated and able to take initiative- Basic computer Skills (desirable)

Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check & will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October, with supporting documentation prior to joining.
