We’re looking for a Planning Consultant (all levels) to join our Planning and Engagement Business Group.

As a key member in the WA Planning and Engagement team you will be responsible for the delivery of a wide range of projects for our vast network of government and private clients. Our team is close-knit and you will be an integral member supporting the team in delivering State-wide projects, building the business and meeting the company’s ultimate vision of creating lasting community benefit.

**Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in**:

- Growing portfolio of metropolitan and regional council precinct and centre planning, structure planning and local planning scheme work.
- Delivering some of WA’s largest multi-disciplinary projects in collaboration with key leads across all five key markets in GHD; energy & resources, environment, property & building, transport and water.
- Industry leading work in the future energy space, playing a key role in the State’s energy transition to renewables projects including wind, solar, hydrogen, biofuels and more.
- Providing a range of services including land use and development capability advice, coordination of technical disciplines, managing of project scope and costings through GHD’s project management systems, preparation of development approval documentation and, approval process and coordination.
- Developing client relationships by building trust, providing quality advice and managing expectations.

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or related discipline.
- Demonstrated statutory and strategic planning experience
- The ability to lead own workload and time
- Competence in the Microsoft Office suite is preferred
- Skills in qualitative analysis
- Project Management skills
- Report writing and interpersonal skills
- Experience in both Government and Consultancy highly valued.
- Has good interpersonal and verbal communication skills and who values building respectful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
