Graduate Urban Planner
to our team in Perth. This would be an immediate start.
As the successful candidate, you will:
- Provide statutory and strategic planning advice for urban design related and multi-disciplinary projects covering project visioning, development strategy, master planning, development guidelines, form-based codes and regeneration strategies and statutory proposals for subdivision, scheme amendments, development applications, local development plans and structure plans
- Coordinate the preparation of documentation, strategies and applications for proposals in the urban development sector and support the team to ensure outputs meet statutory and strategic planning requirements
- Liaise with client, key government and industry representatives to resolve urban development challenges and other project issues
- Undertakes research and obtain insights, conclusions, and recommendations from complex data and incorporate into strategies and projects across urban planning, place, urban design, economics and social valuedisciplines
- Assist with community engagement preparation and participation.
- Timely, accurate work of a high quality that is delivered within budget allocations and is effective in achieving quality outcomes for client projects.
You will bring to the role;
- A degree and strong academic record in urban planning from a recognised institution.
- 1-3 years' urban planning experience, preferably in WA
- An understanding of the WA planning system and urban planning/ design issues and statutory requirements for planning at different scales and contexts
- A team focused work ethic, excellent written and verbal communications skills, sound analytical skills and a client service ethos
- Demonstrated passion for the built environment and the delivery of sustainable communities
- Current right to live and work in Australia (i.e permanent residency or citizenship)
