About the Role

Due to internal secondments within the Development and Design team, an exciting new opportunity has become available for an Urban Planner to join our team. Reporting to the Coordinator Development and Design you will:

• Be responsible for the efficient and effective processing of statutory applications
• Have experience with and knowledge of statutory provisions relating to planning and a proven track record in assessing planning and subdivision applications
• Participate in strategic planning projects within our exciting inner-city locality
• Be a team player who is highly motivated with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage a dynamic workload without compromising on quality

What are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Relevant qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or equivalent
• Minimum 12 months Local Government Planning or similar experience
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
• Highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills
• Well-developed negotiation, team building, problem solving, decision making, analytical, research and time management skills
