Our finance team is currently looking for the Accounts Payable Officer who can help with the workload for the next couple of months or longer if required.

It is a **casual role**, Monday to Friday, located at Maxima's **Hindmarsh** head office.

The working hours can be part-time or full-time.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process vendor invoices and ensure that they are coded correctly and approved in a timely manner
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate and resolve any discrepancies
- Process weekly and daily payment runs and ensure that payments are made in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare journal entries for accounts payable related activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records in the accounting system
- Maintain vendor files and ensure that all necessary documents are on file - Assist with month-end close processes as needed - Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or related field
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

You must hold or be willing to obtain national police clearance and relevant State/Territory working with children check.
