We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and dedicated Junior Accountant/Book Keeper to join our team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to grow professionally within a supportive environment.

Reporting to the CFO, your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing Accounts Payable, invoice entry, payment application, PO matching, reconciling supplier statements, and ensuring timely payments
  • Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Assist with processing inter-company transactions and loans across AU and US entities
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial reports, statements, and general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in general accounting and administrative tasks as required
  • Assist with monthly and annual financial closings

Additionally, you will;

  • Have great Excel skills
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and complete work within established deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy team environment as well as work independently
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, reliable and trustworthy
  • Sound understanding of core accounting principles and foundational finance knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage and prioritise multipletasks
  • A proactive and professional attitude, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to quickly adapt to new systems, processes and environments
  • Be an open minded individual willing and flexible to work within a small business with an 'all hands-on deck' attitude

To be successful in this role you will need to have strong time management skills, the ability to take initiative, apply common sense and consistently demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Ideally, you will have experience in a similar position. More importantly, you will be numerically minded, detailed oriented and a collaborative team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
