INTRODUCTION

THE ROLE

**Key aspects of this role will include**:
Provide practical drafting and design solutions, which are compliant to engineering standards.
Design innovative solutions to industry requirements.
Deliver strategic competitive advantages through design innovation.
On time delivery of design and drafting.
Accurate recording and storage of design documentation.
Perform site audits / investigations and prepare designs or reports based on findings.
Assist with new opportunities for Metso’s products and services.
Assist in the development and delivery of technical presentations/papers as required.
Assist with supervising of construction and install (as required).
3D modelling and 2D detailing.
Computations.
Planning and scheduling drafting works to meet deadlines.
Prepare ‘As Built’ documentation and “installation & operation manuals”.
Maintain an organized library of products.
Liaise with all internal and external Customers with respect to drafting/engineering solutions to establish clear feedback and aspirations.
Prepare and submit update (reports, spreadsheets, registers) as requested.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally you will hold a qualifications in a Mechanical trade or Engineering?Drafting with a minimum of two years experience in bulk materials handling, mining associated design, mine maintenance or mine engineering. Your ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with strong attention to detail to your work, coupled with your demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills will will ensure your success in this position. Highly desirable but not essential to the role, is your understanding of mining fixed plant operation and experience with liner materials. You must also have the flexibility to travel, when required and deemed safe to do so, domestically and internationally.
