The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Designer to join our Newcastle team. As our client portfolio grows across the resources, energy and industrial sectors, this position will help support and expand our engineering and design capabilities. This a great opportunity for a talented and passionate Senior Designer to be part of a supportive and collaborative team.

In this role, you'll deliver accurate and well-presented detail design outputs using AGILITUS systems, while developing simple, functional, and efficient ST/ME design solutions. You'll provide technical guidance to junior team members, contribute to a variety of projects across clients, and ensure all work meets Australian Standards and regulations. Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills with colleagues and clients are key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Developing and improving Structural and, or Mechanical design drafting tools for use across the team.
• Undertaking Structural and, or Mechanical design tasks from concept through to commissioning
• Assisting with identifying new work opportunities and providing inputs into development of new project scopes and estimate and, other duties as required to enable the team to deliver projects.

Here's what you'll need

• Diploma in engineering or applicable drafting traineeship (or similar)
• Knowledge of applicable Structural and, or Mechanical design standards and guidelines.
• Confident to cross check work submitted by junior engineers and provide constructive feedback before their submission to project managers.

Our Newcastle team also integrates and supports the broader works in the West by collaborating with our Perth and Mandurah teams.
