Warehouse Team Leader

We are looking for a **Warehouse Team Leader** to join our brand-new Distribution Centre in Kemps Creek Assisting in managing a team alongside our Warehouse Manager you’ll have good leadership and communication skills to help co-ordinate the daily pick, pack and dispatch processes of our warehouse. You will lead by example and are willing to assist with the warehouse duties to complete daily tasks, a current forklift license is highly desirable but not essential to help facilitate orders for picking and packing.
- Full-time _**_38 hours per week_**_ plus overtime when required if desired during our peak seasons._

**Requirements for Success**
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in the overall running of the fulfillment centre
- Coach individuals to improve quality and output by frequently observing standards and providing team members with important feedback.
- Motivating team members to achieve KPIs and evaluate performance
- Leading by example ensuring all Work Health Safety standards are the highest priority
- Provide team members with supervision and act as an escalation point for any issues that arise on shift.
- Provide daily team briefings to facilitate the daily outcomes
- Complete end of shift reports accurately
- Execute end of day tasks such as housekeeping to ensure a smooth transition for the next shift
- Reporting and submitting documentation on all performance or safety related matters for managerial follow up
- Picking, packing, labelling, recording and dispatching
- Receipting, sorting, organising and storing/managing inventory.
- Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
- To perform cycle counting and inventory checks whenever needed

**Skills & Experience**
- 2+ years’ experience as a Team Leader within a Warehouse environment
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience managing a small team including pick/pack staff
- Understanding of Inventory Management Principles and Practices
- Good understanding of General Warehouse Practices and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in fast paced team environment
- Accuracy, attention to detail and highly organised
- Ability to prioritise work in a high-volume environment and use your initiative
- Experience with the use of RF Scanners (desirable not essential).
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with manual and basic power tools.
- Qualifications in Warehousing/Logistics advantageous
