**Injury Management Support Officer**

**Location: Parramatta**

**Employment type: Temporary up to 12 months**

**Salary: Clerk Grade 3/4, $82,193 to $90,001 plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading**

**Your role**

As an Injury Management Support Officer you will assist the Injury Management (IM) team with a range of administrative activities and projects to contribute to the effective management of claims and return to work programs to support injured workers to recover at work.

**What you’ll do**

As part of the Injury Management Team within People, you are responsible for but not limited to:

- Provide administrative support within injury management services, including return-to-work programs, to contribute to positive outcomes for the employee and ensure cost effective management of compensable claims.
- Respond to enquiries, and escalate and redirect issues as required, to ensure the provision of accurate information.
- Assist with workers compensation claims and coordinating independent medical assessments for the injury management team.
- Provide support researching and updating IM policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Update and maintain the system, project plans and databases, complying with administrative systems and processes, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to assist the injury management team with their case management.

You'll work as part of a team of Injury Management Officers in a hybrid work environment.

**What we’re looking for**
- Knowledge and understanding of current NSW workers compensation legislation. Previous experience as an Allied Health Professional or Nurse or Return-to-work Coordinator and case management experience would be beneficial.
- Show a strong commitment to the Recovery at Work program/process; and a genuine interest in working with injured workers to establish favourable outcomes for all parties.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to have courageous conversations with injured workers and managers to enable positive outcomes. Ideally, you’ll be customer focused, with the ability to develop strong links with the business and stakeholders.
