**The Opportunity**:

**LabWest** is an independent minerals analysis facility established in 2008 in Western Australia by a small group of investors. The company's leadership team have more than 80 years of experience in minerals analysis, having worked for major mining companies and commercial laboratories.
**LabWest** has built a global reputation in the mineral processing industry with a world-class facility and technology located in Malaga, Western Australia.
**LabWest** specialises in geochemical analysis and uses clean environments and careful sample handling practices to provide contamination-free preparation and low-detection limit elemental determinations.

**About the Role**
Reporting to the board you will be responsible for:

- Responsible for the overall safety and quality outcomes of the business.
- The development and implementation of a Board approved Operations Plan for the Company
- The delivery of all financial duties of the Company, including but not limited to accounts payable, payroll, banking approvals, banking delegations, and commercial matters.
- Development and reporting against Board approved Annual Budget & Key Performance Indicators
- Management of all full-time, part-time, and casual staff, contractors and suppliers; ensuring all legal documents are in place and compliant against Australian regulatory standards
- Deliver quality proposals for prospective clients to achieve the Win/Loss metrics set by the Board in accordance with the approved budget
- Establish and maintain client relationships to position the Company in securing existing ongoing business and win new work in the future
- Prepare and present financial reports and forecasts to the Board with consideration of Company performance against forecast.

**About You**
To be successful in the role, you should be able to demonstrate the following attributes.

**Essential**
- An accredited bachelor’s degree (or MBA) in business, commerce, economics, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in a senior management position
- Demonstrated experience in leading, managing and motivating a successful team
- Demonstrated experience in analysing, preparing, and reporting on complex information
- Demonstrated successful management of profit and loss across various business settings

**Desirable**
- An accredited postgraduate qualification in Business
- Qualifications in science, engineering or similar
- Experience in a laboratory, mining, engineering, or similar technical role
