**_About the Role_**

Due to continued growth of the business, we are currently looking for a highly motivated HSE Advisor to join our field-based team in Brisbane (20 mins from CBD). Reporting to the Project Manager and supported by the HSE Lead, the HSE Advisor will provide focussed field base assistance in leading and mentoring teams in the safe execution of specialist high risk activities during core and turnaround scopes, whilst ensuring compliance with the HSE management system, relevant legislation and the operational HSE deliverables.

**_Duties will include but not limited to_**
- Ensure that Corporate and Client required HSE Management requirements are implemented and maintained to a high standard.
- Identify and report to the Site Project Manager and HSE Lead any high-risk issues that have the potential to impact on HSE compliance.
- Co-ordinate / assist with the development and implementation of JSEA’s for work activities.
- Conduct / participate in site inspections of work activities to ensure HSE compliance, as required, participate in audits and inspections conducted by other parties.
- As directed, co-ordinate HSE incident investigations.
- Provide leadership through proactive HSE Management.
- Ensure critical business needs of key stakeholders are met in a timely manner.
- Report on safety initiatives and incidents.
- Conduct / co-ordinate site induction for site-based maintenance and turnaround personnel.

**_Requirements & Experience Needed_**
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industries.
- Min Cert 4 in Health and Safety.
- Cert IV Training and Assessment is desirable.
- Advanced understanding and knowledge of HSE legislation.
- Self-motivated, team driven with a desire to add value to the discipline.
- Personable with strong relationship management skills.
- Flexible and able to juggle multiple priorities.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) capability.
- Well developed IT capabilities (i.e. Word, Excel).
- Have a high level of analytical and computing skills.
- A current Drivers licence.
- Full rights to work in Australia.
