Reporting to the HSEQ Manager - Australia, the HSE Advisor will be responsible for the
delivery of technical expertise with a high focus on continuous improvement through building
collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders, particularly site-based operations. The HSE
Advisor will play a key role in supporting the company’s commitment to safety. Travel across
the East Coast is a requirement of the role to ensure strong operational interface and
engagement.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Delivering technical expertise ensuring alignment to statutory and company health and
- safety requirements through true business partnering and stakeholder engagement- Providing ongoing support to group operations through proactive leadership,
- knowledge, and support to reduce health and safety risks, preventing injury and illness- Delivering site-based safety activities, safety inspections and safety observations as
- required including timely close-out of actions- Driving the hearts and minds of a risk-based systems assurance culture by supporting
- hazard identification and risk assessment processes- Promoting timely reporting of incidents and aiding in the identification of remedial
- actions- Initiating effective consultation arrangements with all stakeholders that result in a
- collaborative approach to identifying and managing strategic risk concerns- Develop, review, and deliver safety management systems and training and
- assessment materials to ensure they are current and of a consistently high standard- Performing health and safety compliance audits, ensuring consistent implementation

and adherence to systems and related procedures across the organisation

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Hands-on experience in multi-site, high-risk industries such as energy, utilities, mining,
- or resources- Effective and well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
- across a broad stakeholder audience- Proven ability to negotiate and influence at various levels within an organisation
- The ability to self-motivate, plan, and manage work programs autonomously
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
- The ability to adapt positively to change with a strong focus on continuous
- improvement- Demonstrated expertise and understanding of current HSE legislation, standards,
- codes, and industry practices- Well-developed report writing and MS Office skills
- Experience with ICAM incident investigation methodology
- Experience in HSE compliance management and Lead Auditor qualifications

(desirable)
- Ideally tertiary or diploma qualifications in Health & Safety, and Training &
Assessment together with first aid certification
