**The Role**
This is a unique opportunity to make your mark in a newly established global Investor Relations role Reporting to the Head of Investor Relations you will be integral to the execution of all investor relation activities such as the preparation of financial reports and presentations and providing valuable insights to senior management and external stakeholders.

The IR Associate will play a crucial role in maintaining effective communication between ALS, our shareholders, investors, and financial community. To succeed, you’ll need a background in investor relations or corporate finance and a strong understanding of financial markets, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.

**The day to day**

**Investor Communication**
- Assist in the preparation of investor presentations, press releases, and other communication materials.
- Help manage relationships with shareholders, analysts, and institutional investors.
- Respond to inquiries from shareholders and investors, providing accurate and timely information.
- Organize and participate in conference calls, meetings, and investor conferences.

**Financial Reporting, Monitoring and Analysis**
- Analyze financial statements, earnings releases, and other financial data to identify trends and insights.
- Prepare half yearly and annual reports for shareholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as finance, operations, legal, and marketing, to gather information for external reporting.
- Monitor industry and market trends, assessing their impact on the company's financial performance.
- Maintain up to date consensus forecasts from Sell-side analysts.
- Assist with preparation of relevant IR board papers and other committee papers.

**Investor Relations Strategy**
- Contribute to the development and implementation of investor relations strategies to enhance the company's reputation and attract investors.
- Conduct benchmarking and competitive analysis to identify best practices and trends in investor relations.
- Assist in the planning and execution of investor events, such as annual general meetings and roadshows.
- Stay updated on relevant financial regulations and disclosure requirements.

**Shareholder Services**
- Maintain a database of shareholders, tracking ownership changes and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist in managing the company's investor relations website and social media platforms.
- Support the development of investor relations materials, including investor kits and fact sheets.

**The Essentials**
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. Post graduate qualifications such as CA, CFA would be highly regarded.
- Prior experience in investor relations, investment banking, corporate finance or related fields is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, accounting principles, and corporate finance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.
- Proficient in financial analysis and modeling.
- Familiarity with ASX regulations and reporting requirements.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
