Meatmaiden is an eight-year-established basement restaurant that relies on word of mouth and our guests loving what we do.

We’re lucky to have some great people who understand what is so special about the Meatmaiden experience and we’re now looking to add some new faces who will love the venue as much as we do.
**HOST**

We’re looking for an outgoing and organised, super-friendly face to set the standard for our guests’ experience when they walk in the door at Meatmaiden.

Your responsibilities will include greeting guests in a professional and welcoming manner, providing accurate wait times for guests, escorting and settling in guests in our dining and bar areas and just generally making sure everyone is having a great time.

You must possess first-rate organisational skills and people skills, including the ability to fix problems at the door to ensure everyone has a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive until they leave.

More specifically, you will need to bring:

- Excellent customer service. The host is the first point of contact with our guests and is the person who sets the tone for the restaurant
- Communication skills.
- Organisational skills
- Listening skills.
- Ability to be a team player
- Ability to multitask
- Patience and composure
- Be tech savvy - Experience in working with OpenTable or other restaurant booking platforms is a bonus but full training can be provided
- Be able to perform end-of-night cash-ups

**SECTION WAITERS**

As a section waiter in Meatmaiden, you’re the heart and soul of the restaurant and fundamental to our guests’ experience.

Your duties and responsibilities include welcoming and seating guests, taking guest orders, communicating them effectively to the kitchen, learning the finer details of all our food and beverage menus and offering recommendations as required

You must have or be:

- At least 2 years of customer service skills.
- Great communication and a cool head
- Attention to detail, an excellent memory and the ability to multi-task
- Hardworking and reliable.
- Good salesmanship skills and the ability to up-sell menu items
- Experience working with POS systems and cash registers.
- Good knowledge of restaurant and food handling regulations.
- Able to understand and remember dietary requirements
- Steak knowledge is vital but full training will be given

**BAR TENDER**

At Meatmaiden we’re renowned for our quirky cocktail list with cult classics such as our Smoked Old Fashioned and Bacon Sour. Our wine list is a journey through what makes wine in this country so interesting plus some international hits and our taps are stocked full of local craft beer. We’re looking for someone who loves beverage as much as us

You must have at least 2 years experience in bar tending [ full time or part time ] and possess the following skills:

- Be fast and efficient
- Be a quick learner
- Be able to maintain a clean bar
- Know how to keep a bar restocked
- Have a keen knowledge for classic cocktails as well as in house
- Creativity and input is welcomed and definitely an advantage
- Be able to jump on the floor when required and run drinks and food
- Have awesome attention to detail

**Salary**: $20.33 - $53.24 per hour
