Section Waiter

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated **section waiter** to join our tight-knit team at Vinesmith City Cellar Door; a hybrid wine bar, cellar door, and French-inspired bistro in the heart of Melbourne.
As a small, high-quality venue, we value team members who are proactive, adaptable, and confident managing a full section independently. You'll be involved in all aspects of service, from greeting guests and taking orders to wine recommendations and resetting tables; **multitasking and initiative are essential**.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage your own section during service
- Deliver warm, professional guest experiences
- Take orders and run food and drinks efficiently
- Recommend wines and assist with wine service (training provided)
- Support colleagues with bar, floor, and minor polishing/reset tasks
- Uphold cleanliness and venue standards
**What We’re Looking For**:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced or high-standard venue
- Strong communication and time management
- Interest in wine and modern French cuisine
- Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and work collaboratively
- RSA required; wine knowledge a plus
