About The Role
As State Manager in Retail Broker, you will be responsible for the effective leadership of the state frontline team of Residential Broker Managers, consisting of State Partnership Managers, Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Business Support Managers.
The State Manager is responsible for leading this team towards the achievement of segmented growth objectives for Aggregators and Brokers, whilst effectively maximising engagement and relationships with Aggregators and Brokers as they execute state-based strategies in line with Retail Broker's strategic direction.
Success will be underpinned by the ability to inspire and drive a sales team to deliver strong business results, ensuring ANZ’s position and approach to the broker market is understood internally and externally.

What will your day look like?
**As a State Manager, you are accountable for**:
Creating a high performing team culture by developing and managing the performance and capability of the team, ensuring team members are kept up to date with changes in policy, product and competitor positioning.
Working in conjunction with the General Manager in the development and execution of appropriate sales strategies and business plans in line with Retail Broker's strategic direction,
Building and expanding relationships with relevant aggregators and brokers to deliver on localised aggregator engagement plans and drive business growth in line with Retail Broker's strategic direction at both a state and national level.
Promote effective use of available data, industry analysis and environment trend reporting to draw insights and inform sales strategies from a portfolio level through to the individual broker level.
Working collaboratively with internal business partners, including Customer Service Operations (CSO), Private Banking, Corporate and Commercial teams, to deliver on broker and customer experience and expand share of wallet from deepening relationships with target Brokers.
Ensure adherence to ANZ polices, processes and external regulatory requirements as applicable

Goal driven with experience working towards targets.
**Retail Banking knowledge**: lending product, policy and process.
Mortgage Broking industry knowledge or experience.
