**About the Foundation**
St Luke’s Hospital Foundation plays an integral role in supporting St Luke’s Care, funding initiatives that genuinely make a difference to the ageing community of Eastern Sydney.
St Luke’s Care is the first holistic campus for ageing Australians, and they aim to be recognised as the leading provider, connecting the dots between medical specialists, aged care, in-home support and rehabilitation services.
The Foundation was established in 1982 and has been loyally supported by the Eastern Suburbs community that it has served.
**About the opportunity**
Reporting to the St Luke’s Hospital Foundation Board and the St Luke's CEO, the Head of Foundation will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, vision, and direction to oversee the success and impact of the Fundraising and Marketing program.
We need someone who is excited to be donor facing as relationship building will be a critical aspect of this role as the Head of Foundation will nurture and develop flourishing relationships with invested philanthropic committees, the Board, the CEO, internal stakeholders, residents, families, and influential community members.
This is your chance as Foundation lead to take the Foundation to new heights. Building on their $25m centenary appeal, we are looking to engage the next generation of donor and build a robust Fundraising programme that enables St Luke’s Care to build on their incredible community services and care functions.
As you grow and develop the strategy and programme, we will invest in the long term growth of the portfolio and the team you will build.
**Responsibilities**:
- Design and lead the strategic direction and implementation of a successful Fundraising and Marketing strategy to drive growth across multiple channels to include regular giving, annual appeals, philanthropy and bequests
- Responsible for formalising a Fundraising strategy and creating associated engagement plans to support a variety of impactful initiatives for St Luke’s Care that include a Dementia Centre of Excellence, Wellness Centre, Dementia Care Nurses, Research Programs and Community Engagement Programs
- Establish structures, processes, competencies and systems to ensure the Fundraising department is fully equipped to accelerate growth, and establish a diversified and sustainable income base
- Develop the donor portfolio with a focus on new donors by building strong relationships with supporters and stakeholders whose interests are aligned with the vision of the Foundation
- Collaborate with philanthropic committees, the Board, the CEO, residents, families and influential community members to ensure continuous engagement with the Fundraising vision across all programs
- Develop all Marketing related to the Foundation and build on donor communication plans
- Build relationships internally to identify and understand funding opportunities in order to source and develop both financial and tangible opportunities for support
- Produce and communicate strategic plans and reporting with senior level stakeholders including the Board
- Oversee the development of annual budgets and oversee monthly income and expenditure
- Database management, analysing key information to make data-driven decisions for the Fundraising program
- Recruit and develop a Fundraising team from the ground up
**Skills and experience**
- Proven success and achievements in a similar leadership role, with a demonstrated track record creating and implementing strategic plans across Fundraising and Marketing channels
- Multi channel Fundraising experience to include philanthropy, community engagement and appeals
- Demonstrated success in providing strategic and influential leadership with stakeholders and a background in delivering financial outcomes
- An influential and collaborative approach in building and maintaining strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Strong knowledge and experience creating donor engagement plans, stewardship plans, and processes along with an understanding of the moves management system; from lead generation through to gift conversion for multiple Fundraising channels
