Sydney, Australia Moriarty Foundation Full time

This is an exciting opportunity to joint Moriarty Foundation’s head office team, in a stand-alone part-time position (3 days per week) covering the full suite of HR functions to support the team across John Moriarty Football (JMF) (soccer), Indi Kindi (early years education), operations, finance and executive.

We have delivered highly effective community-led, locally driven solutions in early learning and football since 2012. Our co-founders are John Moriarty, a Yanyuwa NT man, business owner and the first Indigenous footballer to be selected for Australia, and business owner/author/social investor, Ros Moriarty.
Our Board and our team are majority Indigenous.
We have strong funding partnerships across government, philanthropy and corporate donors. The timing of this new role is to grow our team to build on recent funding success.
Key duties
Manage the recruitment strategy and implementation including posting roles and talent search, developing relationships with sources of talent, screening, interviewing and reference checking.
Continue to develop and oversee the HR strategy for the organisation which integrates with the overall Moriarty Foundation strategy.
In collaboration with the management team, provide input across a range of HR initiatives including retention, induction, team culture, check-ins, development plans, and stakeholder relationships.
Provide support on a broad range of complex HR issues, offering solutions in line with Foundation team priorities and in accordance with industrial relations requirements, compliance, legislation, Fair Work Awards, workers compensation as well as providing coaching for leaders across the organisation.
Together with the operations team, coordinate new staff onboarding.
Coordinate off boarding of leavers, conduct exit interviews, and any required follow up.
Partnering with the program directors, build capability across the organisation, driving a learning culture, identifying training requirements and development plans.
Oversee implementation and compliance with HR policies and procedures. Ensure staff are educated across these policies and procedures, they are signed-off by staff, and that they are adhered to.
Experience
Tertiary qualifications in disciplines including Human Resources as a major component of the qualification.
An HR professional, with 5+ years of demonstrated experience.
Proven experience in writing policies, procedures, risk plans, and managing areas of HR compliance and governance.
Demonstrated excellence in commercial or the NFP sector.
Ability to analyse data and produce accurate and informative reports.
Experience in MS Office, Google Suite. Asana experience is preferred but not essential.

An individual who has exceptional people skills, has a genuine interest in supporting teams, is confident working autonomously and is a solutions finder, will thrive in this role.
