Our client based in Perth is looking for a Principal Corporate & Government Affairs Advisor for a temporary period. This is a short term 3-month contract with extension possibilities.
**Your new role**
As a Principal Corporate & Government Affairs Advisor, you will be responsible for:
- Develop and oversee the systems that ensure the company complies with all applicable codes, as well as its statutory and legal requirements
- Develop, execute, and manage communications and stakeholder engagement plans for all projects, activities also oversight of all content
- Build and maintain effective media relationships and operate as a key contact for the media
- Deliver the company’s annual Government Relations Plan
- Positively represent the company at external meetings and events, including on relevant working groups and committees
**What you'll need to succeed**
Required skills and knowledge for this role include:
- Ability to coordinate strategic communication plans and activities across a diverse organisation
- High-level of experience in media relations, issue management and in managing organisational reputation
- High-level of experience in government relations and Ministerial liaison
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to liaise with and build effective relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
