**The opportunity**

Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Network Development Officer (Permanent full time) to join our Solutions Development Central River City team in the Planning & Programs branch. Based out the Parramatta office this role will see you contribute to the development of multi-modal road and safety road network projects, traffic and transport impact assessments while ensuring optimum performance and integration for Sydney’s arterial road (and active transport) network in line with defined strategies and objectives. The role will address the specific, integrated needs of freight, road-based public transport, pedestrians cyclists, and light vehicles.

You will proactively collaborate and interface with Planning and Program teams and other relevant stakeholders to ensure specific projects are developed in line with defined corridor strategies and address immediate to short-term network performance issues that have been identified and prioritised.

**What you will be involved in**
- Gather technical input, data and information from key stakeholders and ensure information is captured effectively and clearly articulates all program/project requirements to ensure information is accurately captured within business cases
- Ensure research, modelling and financial analysis supports the economic justification for specific investment decisions to meet investment approval requirements
- Liaise with key stakeholders, as required, to ensure specific projects are developed in line with defined integrated transport network strategies and address immediate to short term network performance issues that have been identified and prioritised

**About you**

We are looking for someone who can work independently and contribute effectively, in a supportive team environment whilst maintaining a high level of work ethic.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You can build rapport and develop strong relationships across multiple sources, take end-to-end responsibility for a body of work, and manage expectations and deliverables. You will need to leverage these relationships to seek the appropriate advice and information required to inform your decisions, as well as negotiate outcomes and overcome challenges.

The home office for the role is based at Parramatta, and it is expected that you will work from this location on occasions. Transport for NSW offers flexible working arrangements and supports a balance of office and work-from-home options.

The role will suit someone with experience investigating and contributing to the development of traffic, safety and congestion programs, transport systems management and traffic engineering practice and traffic modelling. **Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is Grade 8 ($123,470- $138,284) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
