Business Development Executive

HEQS was established in 2007. With advanced market sense and strong manufacturing support, HEQS has been quickly developing into one of the largest furniture suppliers in Australia. We are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our high performing team.
As a Business Development Manager, you will primarily focus on developing new business and generate new sales across the Public & Non-Profit Organization sectors through government tender and networking. The Business Development Manager will develop strategies and grow the company's existing presence so as to achieve new business targets.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Identify new business opportunities including tendering & cold calling on new businesses, and/or creating new business opportunities through networking
- Engage, develop, define, negotiate and close client relationships at all levels
- Research new leads using various prospecting techniques
- Grow the account/territory to maximum potential through cross-selling & strategically aligned business synergies
- Provide superior, personalised service to clients; understand their strategy and new program, develop plans to achieve their objectives
- Convert cold calls into warm leads into new accounts into sales performance
- Ensure state selling and marketing expenses are within budgetary guidelines
- Achievement of all relevant sales targets
- Assist in setting up new business accounts, processing sales orders, monitoring delivery progress and providing after-sales services.
**Eligibility & Skills**:
- Previous work experience in Public Sector or NGO will be an advantage
- Previous experience within the Furniture/White Goods Appliance industry, preferably in a commercial channel environment.
- Own overall account strategy and account management skills
- Outstanding people skills and a strong customer orientation
- A genuine passion and enthusiasm for sales and business development
- Able to pick up the phone and create a lead out of nothing
- Solid B2B sales knowledge and clear sales strategies
- Hold a current driver licence and able to travel interstate and international when required
- Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office and other office software
**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

- Smithfield NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
**Education**:
- Bachelor Degree (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Business development: 1 year (preferred)
- cold calling: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer relationship management: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driver License (required)
Willingness to travel:
- 25% (preferred)
