**Description**:
Join Liberty Industrial as an HR & Payroll Coordinator/Advisor and make a difference to people operations.
At Liberty Industrial, we redefine what’s possible in deconstruction. As an award-winning specialist in complex industrial decommissioning, demolition and remediation, we’re known for delivering excellence on some of the most technically challenging projects across Australia and beyond.
We're looking for a Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator/Advisor to join our team and help power the people behind the projects. This is your chance to bring your HR and payroll expertise into a high-impact role where your work keeps our operations smooth, our people engaged and supports business growth. This role can be suited to an experienced Advisor, or an accomplished Coordinator ready to take the next step.
**What You'll Be Doing**:
**As the key HR and Payroll partner across the business, you'll**:
- Be the people engine: Manage the full employee lifecycle—from onboarding to offboarding—with integrity, care, and compliance. Be the central liaison for all queries and communications regarding HR and payroll.
- Support payroll end-to-end: With the guidance of a Payroll Officer, ensure accurate, timely payroll delivery across a diverse workforce, including site-based teams, in line with all superannuation, taxation, and leave requirements.
- Ensure data integrity: Confidentially maintain accurate and accessible HR records across HRIS and payroll and ensure integration between systems.
- Drive engagement and well-being: Work alongside Chief of People, Culture & Business Services to roll out HR initiatives that support our people in our offices and on-site.
- Shape smarter workforce planning: Provide accurate HR data insights that help us grow and manage our workforce strategically.
- Streamline systems and processes: Support digital transformation and automation across HR and payroll functions to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
- Maintain compliance and culture: Keep us aligned with current employment legislation, provide continual review of policies, systems and procedures, all while contributing to a positive, productive workplace.
**What Sets This Role Apart**:
- Industry impact - Your work directly supports landmark industrial projects across Australia.
- Work that matters - We truly care about people and the communities we work in; and passionate about supporting causes to give back.
- Diverse workforce - Engage with a mix of on-site teams, technical specialists, and corporate colleagues. We embrace diverse perspectives.
- Innovation-focused - Liberty Industrial is always improving; bring your ideas to the table and help us evolve.
- Award-winning culture - Join a team recognised for excellence, safety, and sustainability.
**What You’ll Bring to Liberty**:
- Proven experience across both HR and Payroll, ideally for both wages and salary employees in heavy industry environment.
- Experience across the full employee lifecycle and the ability to process end-to-end payroll.
- A working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and payroll compliance.
- Confidence using HRIS and payroll software, with a keen eye for accuracy and confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate clearly, empathetically and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and superior time management.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Finance, or related field (minimum: Cert IV in Payroll or HR).
- Membership with AHRI, APA, TAPS or similar professional body is a plus.
