Skilled procurement professional required who can hit the ground running.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Specialist to support and implement procurement strategies that align with business requirements and procurement team goals. This role requires an individual who can provide timely and expert sourcing advice while managing end-to-end procurement processes in compliance with Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB) guidelines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business needs and objectives.
- Provide expert sourcing advice and support to various stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate the entire procurement lifecycle, including preparing Market Engagement Strategies, tender documentation, Evaluation Reports, Negotiation Plans, and Approval Briefs.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with procurement frameworks.
- Deliver a broad range of procurement services in line with VGPB guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and manage procurement inboxes, triaging and responding to queries in a timely manner.
- Support procurement improvement initiatives, including the maintenance of records and registers.
- Assist with panel procurement activities to enhance operational efficiencies and ensure compliance.

**Key Selection Criteria**:

- Proven experience in sourcing goods and services within the framework of VGPB requirements, with a solid understanding of commercial and contractual issues, ideally within a major infrastructure project environment.
- Strong attention to detail in the preparation and review of procurement and contract documents.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, integrity, and high-level analytical skills in risk analysis and decision-making.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively, resolve complex issues, and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to develop and generate insightful reports to support data-driven decisions.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- A relevant qualification in procurement or a related discipline, or extensive relevant experience in a similar role.
