**About the opportunity**:
We are currently seeking a procurement, pricing, or purchasing analyst looking for the next step to join our Ingredients procurement team based in Sydney. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, this Buyer role plays a key role for the pricing and purchasing of raw materials for Goodman Fielder across Australia and New Zealand from local and international vendors.
Key to the success of this role will be the ability to learn and build knowledge around ingredients used in bread and pastry, with a focus on market trends and activities, as well as sharing insights and recommendations.

**The key accountabilities for this role will include**:

- buying key raw materials for ANZ with our partners in Asia and Australia
- Administration in SAP, FX Management, Contracts, etc
- Staying up to date on the changing requirements
- Tracking order prices and providing trend review
- Reviewing import requirements such as import permits and support for ongoing documentation reviews
- Project Management support - working with a variety of stakeholders from both within the business and with our supplier base
- Maintaining accurate information to support material budget costings
- Identifying, evaluating, and implementing cost saving and cost avoidance initiatives.

About You

**The successful applicant for this role will have**:

- Experience in procurement, planning, and /or pricing
- Experience in a physical supply chain environment
- Exposure to importing
- High attention to details and accuracy
- Problem solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office, predominately with Excel.
- A high analytical ability - Good understanding of numeracy
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
