**About the role**:
The objective of the National Deployment team is to support our energy offering to ensure we continue to meet the ongoing needs of our customers.
The Deployment Manager will execute the project delivery and installation of EV chargers in line with Ampol’s ambition of being the most utilised EV charging network in Australia. The role will also be re energy related projects (eg solar and battery storage).
You will be reporting to the National Electric Vehicle Deployment Manager as well as working cross-functionally with the Facilities and Network Planning Teams to ensure internal alignment on timing, scale and location of charge points and other assets
**Key responsibilities**:
- Management of site design, construction, and commissioning of all assets (charge points, solar and battery)
- Execution of the deployment strategy for Ampol’s EV program across all segment types including forecourt, destination and fleet
- Maintain reporting approach cross functionality to ensure deployment process contains relevant external inputs
- Develop relationships with multiple contractors and supply partners to ensure the timely installation of EV chargers on Ampol forecourts and 3rd party retail locations
- Liaise with 3rd party landowners where required to co-ordinate site-works and ensure a positive experience for them
The position can be located in either Sydney or Melbourne.
As we grow, this role may also grow, and reasonable changes may need to be made in accordance with the needs of the business.
**About you**:
You demonstrate a nimble and proactive mindset and the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders including vendors, business owners, customers, government, and internal teams to achieve the strategic goals of the organisation.
We are ideally looking for an outcome focused manager with previous experience in delivery of a Rapid or Ultra-Rapid EV Installation Programs, supported by a Tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Building Construction, Power Electronics or Project Management.
A Commercial or Technical qualification relevant to Electric Vehicle Infrastructure is also desirable.
Your ability to guide third parties through to task completion will be well positioned and your working style exhibits a dynamic edge and flexibility to adapt available resources.
**Key skills and experience**:
- 3+ years’ experience of overseeing a rapid/ultra-rapid EV installation program and/or the rollout of energy related infrastructure
- Previous experience deploying charge points on fuel and non-fuel forecourts
- Exposure to civil/electrical construction activities in hazardous environments
- Demonstrated experience and continued working knowledge of Energy operations and or similar civil/electrical construction and program management
