**About the role**:
The objective of the National Deployment team is to support our energy offering to ensure we continue to meet the ongoing needs of our customers.

As a Project Cost Administrator you will be responsible for providing cost control to the execution phase of Ampol’s Future Energy and Decarbonisation Strategy in the project areas of electric vehicle charging stations, solar PV systems and battery storage devices deployed to Ampol and non Ampol sites.

You will be working with the Deployment team to ensure project cost controls are implemented, monitored and consistently adopted across the group to ensure that capital projects are performed accordingly.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Performing cost control activities on assigned Future Energy projects including financial management, invoice processing and forecasting
- Monitoring project spend to budget across concurrent project spends
- Track and monitor quotations and purchase orders against final invoice amounts for variations
- Liaising with Deployment Managers to confirm scope of commitments and payment authentication
- Process receipting of invoices into SAP upon approval of the Deployment Manager / Program Manager
- Timely preparation of project cost and progress reports performed on major discrepancies
- Engaging with 3rd party delivery partners and consultants, where required, to discuss and resolve invoice and or payment queries, purchase order details

As we grow, this role may also grow, and reasonable changes may need to be made in accordance with the needs of the business.

**About you**:
You demonstrate a proactive mindset and the ability to engage and collaborate with external stakeholders and internal teams to achieve the strategic goals of the organisation. We are ideally looking for an outcome focused individual with previous experience in the implementation and ongoing stewardship of cost control and cost management initiatives supporting a portfolio of capital projects within a large scale.

A Technical qualification in Commerce, Project Management, or a similar field is also desirable.

**Key skills and experience**:

- SAP P50 projects and cost centre platform
- Business Warehouse (BW) and Power BI
- Advanced competencies in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Business partnership skills with the ability to drive a culture of effective cost control and improvements
- Excellent communication and proven experience in building relationships
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Ability to manage time and workload independently while managing multiple priorities simultaneously to deliver quality output
