**About the role**:
The Product Development Manager role is critical to the BCF Business. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing all aspects of the buying process for the BCF home brand products. Driving new initiatives, alongside the Category Managers, as well as conducting effective price negotiations & packaging approvals/sign off. The role will be based primarily in our Support Office in Strathpine, Brisbane due to the need of the role to physically review samples.

Each day will bring something different but key responsibilities of this role will be to:

- Deliver sales, profit and agreed private label deliverables
- Work collaboratively with the Buying teams to deliver the strategic brand direction on all private label product and ranges
- Manage and execute effective, efficient relationships with our overseas Sourcing office and Manufacturers
- Ensure private label principles, contractual obligations and the correct processes are adhered to
- Maintain healthy relationships with key stakeholders to deliver business outcomes

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will be a results driven and outcome focused individual, you will also bring:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Buyer, with a strong retail foundation
- Sound understanding of overseas buying principles.
- Good financial acumen with a focus on driving sales & profit - knowledge of the management of gross profit, GMROI and stock turn.
- Effective negotiation skills
- External relationship management
- Knowledge of logistics and the end to end supply chain process
- Microsoft Office suite - advanced Excel skills and Intermediate Word and outlook.
- China Sourcing Experience
- Category Management Experience
- Trade partner relationship management
