An exciting and unique opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual to join the Justice and Public Administration group, in the Governance branch as Manager, Public Sector Governance at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

The Justice and Public Administration group delivers public sector legal, legislation and, governance, community security and emergency management expertise. The group brings together the department's leadership role in providing legal, justice and emergency management policy advice across government.

The manager, Public Sector Governance will lead a high performing team that contributes to good governance in the public sector in Victoria and will provide policy advice to the Premier, ministers and senior executives on governance topics and appointments across government.

To succeed in this role, you will have outstanding people management, interpersonal and negotiation skills, coupled with strong policy, analytical and problem solving skills.

**About you**
- Highly developed people management skills and ability to align team with organisational goals through effective management, coaching and modelling.
- Demonstrated experience in policy analysis and coordination processes to inform the development of policies and programs.
- Sound analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with sound judgment and capacity to make decisions and recommendations.
- Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, with an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the ability to meet deadlines while working in pressured situations
