Are you experienced in product accreditations and managing certification processes? CSIRO Verification Services unit is currently seeking an efficient and knowledgeable Executive Officer to join their team, and manage the development & maintenance of CSIRO’s ‘ActivFire’ fire protection product certification scheme.
CSIRO Verification Services provide an independent certification process for the materials and infrastructure industries. We operate accreditation and certification schemes for paints and coating products, painting contractors and fire detection and suppression systems. The ‘ActivFire Scheme’ is a nationally and internationally recognised fire protection equipment (products and systems) certification scheme, and an established contributor to Australia’s standards and conformance infrastructure and the industry sectors of construction and fire protection.
As the Executive Officer of the ActivFire scheme, you will lead the development and maintenance of the scheme according to the governing rules, policies and requirements. You will manage and collaborate with a technical panel comprised of representatives of manufacturers, end users and key stakeholders, to resolve any verification submission issues and to set policy and direction for the scheme. You will also play a key role in stakeholder engagement and translating the test results to ensure customer satisfaction.

**Your duties will include**:
- Managing and developing ActivFire Scheme in accordance with its governing rules and the policies & requirements of CSIRO’s Certification Body and JASANZ.
- Registering and maintaining database and document records; issuing and processing customer agreements and recording the status; administration and processing of multiple simultaneous product conformance projects of varying size, duration and complexity.
- Processing, verifying and validating products submitted for certification against relevant, established evidence and valid criteria.
- Leading, reviewing or assisting in the researching and drafting of CSIRO Technical Specifications, Guide Notes, forms, policies and procedures.
- Developing and maintaining document control systems and processes, including certificates of conformity, forms and templates, policy and procedure documents.
- Liaising with clients to determine their needs and taking personal responsibility for their satisfaction, correct problems promptly and in a constructive manner.

**Salary**: AU$102K - AU$111K pa + up to 15.4% superannuation

**To be considered you will need**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in mechanical, electrical, or building engineering, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
- Verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise, negotiate and influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience dealing with complex and exacting customer or stakeholder expectations, requests and enquiries.
- **_Desirable: _**Experience with engineering design of fire protection products & systems, accreditation of product certification systems, auditing or compliance would be highly regarded.
