**Job Title**: Cafe Supervisor

**Job Type**: Full-time (38-40 hours per week)

**Location**: Emporium Melbourne

**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise daily operations of the venue during morning hours, ensuring smooth service and exceptional customer experiences
- Train, schedule, and supervise cafe staff, including baristas and FOH.
- Set performance standards, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock to ensure availability of products while minimising waste
- Create and maintain a welcoming and efficient cafe environment, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and adherence to health and safety standards
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Come up and Implement marketing strategies to promote the cafe and increase customer engagement
- Develop and execute initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall cafe performance
- Manage finances, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimisation

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience (Minimum 2 years) in a managerial role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a cafe or similar setting
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth knowledge of coffee, tea, and other beverages, as well as food preparation techniques
- Proficiency in inventory management and cost control
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset
- Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Certification in food handling and safety (preferred)
