**About the role**

Choose your hours We have a fantastic, flexible permanent part time opportunity for a Youth Triage Officer to join our Youth Wellbeing and Accommodation team on a 45.6 hour fortnight. We acknowledge that life gets busy and sometimes the juggle is too, which is why you get to choose the part time hours that suit you And to add to that you’ll be based in our beautiful West Perth office right in the heart of Kings Park and the local café community.

Reporting to the Manager, Youth Wellness and Accommodation Services, the primary focus of this role is to provide a comprehensive referral and intake process to young people and their families within the Youth Wellbeing and Accommodation portfolio. You will attend networking events, maintain record keeping systems, conduct initial screening assessments and develop meaningful relationships with stakeholders within the community.

**About you**

You’ll have a passion for supporting young people and their families supported by prior relevant experience and sound knowledge of assessment practices.

Substantial experience in the not-for-profit sector or similar will see you to success in this role, supported by sound problem solving and time management and alignment with MercyCare values in all activities you undertake:
You will also have the following:

- Experience in counselling, intervention techniques and service models
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
